African Centre for Technical Training
ACTT is building a new pathway from skills to dignified work for young people in Ghana and across Africa.
At a time when millions of young people are unemployed and employers struggle to find skilled talent, ACTT delivers a demand-driven technical training model that leads to real jobs, income growth, and economic inclusion.
Meet one of our brilliant Woodwork & Joinery graduates, Hannah Sai Ayerkai from Cohort 1, who shares how ACTT shaped her journey; from training, through apprenticeship, to where she proudly stands today.
Philanthropic support enables ACTT to provide scholarships for women and low-income youth, invest in new programs, and scale to additional campuses. Your support expands access to high-quality skills training while maintaining financial sustainability.

Since launching in 2023, ACTT has demonstrated that a different TVET model is possible:
We are raising Unrestricted Funding to scale from proof of concept to systems-level impact.
Meet Fafa, an inspiring member of our community at ACTT. Despite his hearing and speech impairment, he is an active participant in our Plumbing Systems Design program.
Our Non-Profit was established to drive access, inclusion, and innovation in Africa’s technical education landscape.
To promote inclusive access to technical and vocational opportunities for underserved and vulnerable populations, particularly youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
To build strong, self-reliant communities by nurturing grassroots leadership, supporting local philanthropy, and fostering social entrepreneurship.
To support climate-resilient livelihoods by investing in green innovation, sustainable community projects, and environmental education.
More than just a financial aid, these scholarships are a statement of belief in each trainee’s potential. They open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance—enabling them to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to their families and society.
By integrating experiential learning into TVET, we are helping trainees move beyond theory and into transformation. They leave our programs not just trained, but truly prepared—ready to meet industry demands, seize job opportunities, or start their own ventures.
Many young people in our region face barriers to acquiring employable skills due to the lack of adequate training infrastructure. Existing facilities are often outdated, overcrowded, or ill-equipped, limiting the quality and relevance of training. Without access to proper workshops, tools, and learning spaces, trainees struggle to gain the practical, hands-on experience that is essential for success in TVET.
We are inviting passionate, purpose-driven individuals like you to be part of this mission by volunteering your time and talents.
“At the heart of our work lies a powerful belief: that every individual deserves the opportunity to transform their potential into purpose”

ACTT is seeking philanthropic partners who believe in dignified work, inclusive growth, local, youth-led solutions, and want to help build the Africa of the future. Together, we invite funders to expand access to skills, support scholarships for those most excluded, and scale a proven model across Ghana and beyond so that the next generation of skilled workers can thrive, lead, and shape their own futures.
