Our Plumbing and Gas Technology (NC1) program equips trainees with foundational skills in plumbing and gas systems. It begins with safety on site, ensuring students understand safety measures, tool handling, and site precautions. Trainees learn about pipes and fittings, exploring pipe types, grades, and applications, as well as cold and hot water supply, where they interpret working drawings, handle valves, and work with water heaters. The program also covers sanitation and drainage, focusing on installation of appliances, pipe jointing, testing systems, and creating effective drainage layouts, including septic tanks.

Practical components include soldering, brazing, welding, and craft practice, where trainees measure, cut, and join pipes. In domestic gas fittings, they study natural gas and LPG handling, appliance servicing, and system testing. Trainees also learn blueprint reading for interpreting symbols and material estimation, along with basic electricals and basic building construction principles. The program concludes with science and calculation, introducing combustion, corrosion, and cost estimation. This balanced mix of theory and hands-on practice prepares students for entry-level roles in the plumbing and gas industry.
