We just completed a one-week intense AdA-International Vocational Trainer Qualification course organized by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana).
The course is based on the standards of the German Ordinance on Trainer Aptitude (AEVO), and adapted to suit local requirements. This training will equip our Plumbing Systems Design Facilitators to improve program delivery outcomes in line with German dual TVET system, from planning classes, to assessment methods all the way until graduation.

The training ended with a professional certification exam to confirm vocational and occupational pedagogical skills and knowledge as well as competencies. Participants of the course were made up of in-company trainers and vocational school instructors.
The Delegation through its Skills Development Competence Center is committed to organizing more of these Train-the-trainer courses which are important elements of dual vocational training.
